Comment Policy

People who register can leave comments on The Daily Standard. We do our best to moderate the comments, but always need help from our commenters; please report people who violate the rules by reporting their messages. This can be done quickly and easily, and it makes it easier for us to keep the comment panels clean.

The 8 Commandments:

  1. No doxing.
  2. No disclosure of personal information of third parties (or second parties)
  3. Do not use someone else's profile pictures
  4. Do not use abusive language towards fellow commenters
  5. Do not use swear words towards fellow commenters
  6. No more than 3 links per comment
  7. No spam
  8. Do not share "financial advice"

People who do not adhere to these rules - one or more - will either receive a warning from the moderator or a (permanent) ban. It is not possible to appeal a ban. A ban is a ban and is always irrevocable.
